How do movers charge for ferry crossings to Vancouver Island?
With us, the ferry is a line inside your fixed quote, not an extra on the bill. We book the truck's sailing, pay the commercial fare, and price it upfront. Some movers bill ferry time as hourly labour, which is where Island moves blow their budgets. Ask any mover how they handle the boat before you book.
How much per kg is a move to the Island?
We don't charge per kilogram, and be careful with movers who do. Per-kg pricing means your final bill waits on a scale you never see. We survey your home free, quote by what we see, and fix the price in writing, ferry included. The number doesn't change on moving day.
Can one company move me from Surrey to Kelowna in one day?
Usually, yes. With an early start, a typical household loads in Surrey in the morning and unloads in Kelowna the same day. Very large homes or winter mountain passes can push it to two days, and we'll tell you which one you are at the survey, not on moving day.
Do you move small loads within BC?
Yes. A one-bedroom or a few rooms of furniture can ride on one of our weekly runs to the Island, Okanagan, or Interior, which keeps the price down. Everything still gets wrapped in padded blankets, and the quote is still fixed with no hidden fees.
