What is a strata move-in fee in BC?
It's a fee or refundable deposit your strata charges when someone moves in or out, meant to cover elevator use and wear on common areas. The amount is set by your building's bylaws, so it varies. Check your move-in package or ask your property manager, then send it to us. We'll handle the forms and the timing.
Who books the elevator for a condo move?
The resident usually holds the booking, since most stratas tie it to your unit. You request the window through the concierge or property manager. We tell you how long to book, sort the details with the building, and size the crew to finish inside the window.
Do condo buildings require a certificate of insurance from movers?
Most towers in Metro Vancouver do. The property manager wants proof the moving company carries insurance before the crew is allowed in. We send our COI straight to your building as soon as you book. If a mover can't produce one quickly, that's a warning sign.
Can you get large furniture into a high-rise condo?
